Message: <blockquote data-quote="gtishadowfax" data-source="post: 1713426" data-attributes="member: 20219">oh and one more thing...30% of increase of engine power does not require a mod to the exhaust system...better balance the engine first la bro...then change the necessary parts, i.e the belts, spark plugs, fuel filter not to mention engine oil, oil filter, clean the air filter, check on engine mountings, steering rack, lower arms, front and rear absorber mounting, absorber link, trailing arm, driveshafts, absorbers, skim the disc brake if necessary, check on the hoses, i.e radiator hoses, brake hoses ( recommend to change to steel braided hoses), brake pads (heavy duty - i.e mintex/metal king will work just fine...) and of course the bushes - make sure they are intact...then u go dyno...see on standard how many horses are there...and plan, what do u need the modification for - low end pick-up? mid range power? or top end?the standard setting gives the best balance of all those, whereas, if u modify for pick up, top end is usually sacrificed, vice versa...then ask yourself about your ability...are u capable to handle the power...standard setting, have u sucessfully optimised it? and are u prepared to handle the extra power from modification?i wud rather upgrade my ability first, before upgrading the cars performance. spend the money for advance driving, track sessions, etc...find a good sifu...but, that's just me...........</blockquote>
